Hi, I’m Hannah, the owner of Thorns & Roses Bookshop, established in 2025. Ever since I was young, I’ve dreamed of creating a space where book lovers—especially romance readers—could come together and share their love for stories that make us swoon, sigh, and stay up way too late reading just one more chapter.

What’s your all-time favorite romance book, and why?

I’d say A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas. The emotional journey, the character development, the romance, the plot twists—everything about this book completely captivated me. I felt every high and low alongside the characters, and the way Maas weaves together action, heartbreak, and love is just chef’s kiss. This book (and the entire series, honestly) lives rent-free in my mind—I probably think about it every single day!

Is there a book you recommend to everyone, no matter their taste?

It’s hard to pick just one, but I always recommend Funny Story by Emily Henry for its humor, fake dating, and cozy romance, or Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros for an escape into a world of dragons, battles, and swoon-worthy romance. Whether you want something light and heartwarming or thrilling and intense, these books have you covered!

What inspired you to start Thorns & Roses?

I've always been passionate about reading—the places books take you, the characters you meet, the battles you fight, and the dreams you chase. I wanted to turn that passion into something bigger by creating a space where book lovers, especially romance readers, could come together, connect, and share the stories that make us laugh, cry, and swoon. Thorns & Roses is more than just a bookshop; it’s a community built on the love of storytelling and the magic of romance.
